GC FujiCEM - The World's First Reinforced Glass Ionomer Luting
Cement in PASTE formulation
Resin reinforced glass ionomer cements are used as light
cured lining/adhesive materials (Fuji BOND LC), light cured
restorative materials (Fuji II LC) and as auto-curing luting
cements for crown and bridge cementation (Fuji PLUS).
These materials have been traditionally presented in a powder
– liquid format with the powder containing a fluoro-alumino
silicate glass and the liquid containing polyacrylic acid,
water and a resin component (HEMA).
The most recent innovation has been the introduction of a
revolutionary paste-paste presentation. FujiCEM is the world’s
first paste-paste resin reinforced glass ionomer for crown
and bridge cementation. It is available in Paste Pak cartridges
and dispensed using a specially designed Paste Pak Dispenser.

GC Asia Dental Pte Ltd is introducing
a new product called the GC Tooth Mousse! This GC Tooth Mousse
is used to provide extra protection for teeth, to help neutralize
acid challenges from acidogenic bacteria in plaque and other
internal and external acid sources.
GC Tooth Mousse is a water based, sugar free dental topical
creme containing Recaldent® CPP-ACP (Casein
Phosphopeptide - Amorphous Calcium Phosphate). When GC Tooth
Mousse is applied to tooth surfaces, the CPP-ACP molecule
binds to biofilms, plaque, bacteria, hydroxyapatite and surrounding
soft tissue localizing bio-available calcium and phosphate.
Saliva enhances the effectiveness of CPP-ACP and the flavour
helps stimulate saliva flow. The longer CPP-ACP is maintained
in the mouth the more effective the result.
Some other recommended professional applications for GC Tooth
Mousse are, immediately following surgery bleaching, after
ultrasonic, hand scaling or root planing, following professional
tooth cleaning (P.T.C), after application of topical fluoride
and to provide a topical coating for patients suffering from
erosion, caries and conditions arising from xerostomia.
There are 5 sugar free flavours for GC Tooth Mousse, namely,
Strawberry, Melon, Mint, Vanilla and Tutti Frutti! These will
provide a variety of choices for individual patients.
