GC introduces GC G-BOND, a one component, one-coat, advanced
seventh generation bonding system.
This revolutionary product etches, desensitizes, primes and
bonds, all with just ONE application. The clinical success of GC
G-BOND lies in its ability to form a non-conventional interface
with the dentin with minimal decalcification and almost no
exposure of collagen fibers. This interface, called the
“nano-interaction zone”, is a nano-level reaction that produces
an insoluble calcium compound for a better bond that is less
likely to deteriorate.
G-BOND’s nano-interaction technology creates a thin bonding
layer of less than 10 micron improving esthetics. After
application, maximum airflow will result in a frosty layer for
much easier application of the first composite layer and easier
clean-up and removal of any adhesive overflow.
While other products continue to use HEMA for its wetting
properties, GC recognized that HEMA stays hydrophilic after
polymerization, leading to water uptake, discoloration and
possible loss of retention over time. GC G-BOND contains no HEMA
in its formulation, resulting in strong durable adhesion
properties.
GC G-BOND gives you a strong, long-lasting bond between
light-cured composite and both enamel and dentin, very quickly
and very easily. G-BOND is not technique-sensitive, and takes
out the guesswork from the procedure. Now with one coat, in 30
