To take a further step towards Minimum Intervention (M.I) dentistry, GC introduces their latest Plaque – Check + pH kit, an excellent diagnostic kit in addition to the GC Saliva Check kit!

GC’s Plaque – Check + pH kit consists of checking two oral health parameters, providing the dentist with a practical diagnostic result of plaque pathogenicity as well as an excellent oral health education tool for the patient.

The first oral health parameter is checking the plaque pH after exposure to a sucrose challenge. If the patient has cariogenic plaque, the test results will indicate a rapid reduction in pH with a corresponding colour change.

The second oral health parameter enables the dentist to assess oral hygiene practice of the patient by demonstrating sites of fresh plaque accumulation and sites where the retained plaque is at least 48 hours old. It is also an excellent oral health education tool by visually showing the patient areas that are not being cleaned properly.

Each Plaque – Check + pH kit consists of 20 tests and to assist dental professionals in understanding the product, GC provides a comprehensive book, “Caries” which fully explains the concept and procedures in detail.
