GC FujiCEM - The world’s first glass ionomer luting
cement mixed from a PASTE!
Resin reinforced glass ionomer cements are used as light
cured lining/adhesive materials (Fuji BOND LC), light cured
restorative materials (Fuji II LC) and as auto-curing luting
cements for crowns and bridge cementation (Fuji PLUS). These
materials have been traditionally presented in a powder-liquid
format with the powder containing fluoro-alumino silicate
glass and the liquid containing polyacrylic acid, water and
a resin component (HEMA).
The most recent innovation has been the introduction of a
revolutionary paste-paste presentation. This has been achieved
by combining the glass powder and the resin component to form
one paste, and polyacrylic acid and water as the basis for
the other paste. FujiCEM is the world’s first paste-paste
resin reinforced glass ionomer for crown and bridge cementation.
It is available in Paste Pak cartridges and dispensed using
a specially designed Paste Pak Dispenser.
This new presentation and dispensing system offers several
advantages:
- Fast and accurate dispensing
- Ability to choose the quantity required for each case
- Easy mixing
- Consistent, predictable results
It is anticipated that this technology can be applied to
other glass ionomer products to simplify and optimize delivery
and dispensing for users.
